A little help with your gift

What to write on a website for your girlfriend

Find personal writing prompts, short love-letter examples, photo captions, and closing messages for a website gift for your girlfriend.

By OurForeverPage · Examples are fictional; make the details your own.

1. Start with the way you already talk to her

A website gift for your girlfriend does not need to sound like a poem or a wedding speech. Choose a tone she would recognize from you: warm, playful, quiet, or a little of each. Use a nickname only if it is one she enjoys.

Give the page a simple opening that tells her why you made it. A shared phrase can work well, but make the meaning clear. Think of the page as a note with room for photos and memories, rather than a test of how romantic you can be.

An example to make your own

For Mia, a few little things I never want to forget about us.

2. Open with one memory you can picture

Pick a moment with a place, an action, or a small detail. Describe what happened and why it stayed with you. This gives you something real to write about when a blank page feels difficult.

The memory does not have to be your first date. It could be the day she sent you a reassuring message, a walk in the rain, or a joke that made an ordinary evening better.

An example to make your own

I still think about the evening we took the long way home because neither of us wanted the conversation to end. I do not remember every street, but I remember how easy it felt to be with you.

3. Say what you love, with details

Turn a broad compliment into something you have noticed. Instead of only saying she is kind, describe a time she showed kindness. Instead of saying she makes you happy, name the little habit that changes your day.

Choose two or three details rather than trying to list every wonderful thing about her. Write about who she is as well as what she does for you: her curiosity, humor, persistence, or the care she gives to something she loves.

  • I admire the way you…
  • A little thing you do that I always notice…
  • You made me feel understood when…
An example to make your own

I love how curious you are. Even a familiar walk becomes different when you stop to notice a flower, a funny sign, or a place we have never tried.

4. Give each photo a caption only you could write

A good caption adds context instead of describing what is already visible. Tell her what happened just before the photo, what you were thinking, or why you chose it. Keep it short enough that the image still has room to tell its story.

If you have few photos together, let the letter and timeline carry the page. A photo of a shared place can work too, provided you have permission to use it. Avoid including private conversations or embarrassing moments without her agreement.

An example to make your own

The café where we ordered one dessert and somehow stayed for three hours.

5. Bring it together in a short love letter

Use a simple order: a memory, something you appreciate, and something you look forward to. You can write a few sentences or a longer letter; there is no ideal word count. Remove any phrase that sounds borrowed rather than personal.

Here is a fictional example. Keep the structure if it helps, but replace the Sunday walk, voice notes, and future plan with details from your relationship.

An example to make your own

Mia, that rainy Sunday walk is still one of my favorite days with you. I love that you can make a change of plans feel like an adventure, and that your voice notes always make a busy day a little softer. Thank you for being curious, patient, and completely yourself. I cannot wait for our next little trip—and all the ordinary days before it.

6. End with an honest next chapter

Finish with a small plan, a wish, or a clear expression of affection. Avoid promises you cannot keep. If your relationship is new, a line about looking forward to your next date may fit better than a declaration about forever.

Before publishing, read the page aloud and check that the names, photos, and captions feel right. In OurForeverPage, you can start with the reasons starter, add your words and memories, and preview free. Publish when ready, then share the link yourself.

  • For a new relationship: I am looking forward to getting to know you, one adventure at a time.
  • For an everyday surprise: Here is to more kitchen dancing and walks with no destination.
  • For time apart: Until our next hello, here is a little place for the memories I keep coming back to.
